The Location of Down Hall

 

Down Hall sits on the edge of the pretty and historical country village known as Bradwell on Sea which is located close to the north eastern corner of the Dengie peninsula in the district of Maldon in Essex. It lies 30km (19 miles) east of the county town of Chelmsford.

 

 

A lovely place to reside – and great for a visit too

With its location just a mile from the sea, relatives and friends or residents at Down Hall can combine their visit with a trip to the nearby marina, taking advantage of the ample boating activities or simply enjoying a wander in the picturesque marine environment, taking in the fresh sea air. There is also a local community shop, a post office and a selection of country pubs, all of which serve meals and one offers bed and breakfast accommodation.

Burnham-on-Crouch is the main town, just 10 or so miles from Bradwell on the banks of the River Crouch. Here you will find everything you would expect shopping, dining and services wise, as well as various attractions including the Mangapps Railway Museum and a range of yachting facilities.

Getting to Down Hall

By road: The A2, A12 and A13 are the main roads into Bradwell on Sea.

By rail: Southminster station on the Abellio Greater Anglia line is the closest station to Down Hall. The line runs from London Liverpool Street with Southminster the last stop. View the timetable.
