Down Hall Residential Care Home is a family residence which ensures a high level of pastoral care and attention, Creating a safe and comfortable home environment, whilst providing every resident with a full independent and happy life. With full use of the attractive sensory garden and plenty of activities to stimulate and maximise physical and mental potential, the quality of life at Down Hall is of a very high standard. The standards set are high with maximum effort in achieving a good quality of life for all residents.
Residential Care
Also referred to as Personal Care and Assisted Living, this service is for people aged 65 and above who require support with the activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, medication supervision, cooking, cleaning, and mobility which can no longer be managed at home.
Many residents also choose to live with us simply because they no longer want to live alone or to shoulder the burden of maintaining their own home.
Care for this group of residents is simply about peace of mind, and we are able to provide a place where our residents are able to flourish; making friends and exploring new interests.
Care is available 24 hours a day seven days a week and directed by highly skilled healthcare workers
Dementia Care
For those living with dementia, the dementia care program is designed to focus on a person’s key strengths, helping residents live active and fulfilling lives whilst with us at Down Hall.
People experiencing dementia can have difficulty communicating, which in turn can lead to a sense of isolation.
Our dementia care program is there to help find ways in which they can re-engage with their families, friends and the community as a whole. It has been formulated by our dementia care specialists and is constantly informed by the most up-to-date research available.
In essence, our approach is to gain an insight into our residents life stories through recollections of family members and memories.
